The Trilogy: Godot Edition
This project is a new take on OASE. Instead of creating an entire engine that runs and feels like the original games we’ll use the power of Godot to reimplement the original trilogy.
The goal of this project is not to do a perfect recreation of the original games but to learn how those early 2000 games worked and how this can be ported to a modern 2026 game engine. We’ll probably not end up with a perfect recreation but more of a “we got GTA at home” meme version.
And this time I am taking a different approach, I try to keep a little devlog called The Trilogy: Godot Edition of every step I take.
